Selecting whole words in Firefox

When browsing the web, I often find myself trying to search for certain words on the page on Wikipedia or Google. When I only want to select one word, this is fine, I just double click the word and then select the corresponding service from the popup menu with a right-click. When I have to select multiple words, I used to click and drag until all of the words I wanted to search for were selected. Often, making sure the last letters were selected needed quite some ‘precision work’.
Thanks to a web page (actually complaining about Firefox), I figured out that selecting multiple words is much easier when I do the following: double click the first word and then drag the mouse until all words are selected. At least on my system, this selects only entire words !
If I only need to select two adjacent words only (on the same line), I can double click on the space between the words. No Firefox extension needed.
